Easy Cat Eyeliner Tips for Beginners

Are you “Cat Eyeliner Challenged“?  I sure am.  Even applying basic eyeliner has never been my strong suit.  You see, I’m strongly right handed.  Oh, I’ve learned to do a pretty good at-home manicure, but there is something about the eyes!  The one shot deal of it, of applying eyeliner, well it just really irks me and has always been a challenge for me.  Having older eyes has only made the problem worse.

I know, I know, it’s not really a life-altering problem, especially for a wannabe minimalist…..but it’s one that has bothered me at least a bit for quite some time.  While I do think it’s awesome to put on a pair of sweats and go make-up less for days, there IS something about carefully applying your make-up and heading out the door, knowing that you look dang good.  It’s frankly put a little pep in my step living in sunny San Diego, amidst the near perfect weather that doesn’t melt off a well-applied face.  I dunno, I guess I feel younger and more hopeful living here, than I did on Maui.  While I miss the beauty of my island life, this phase of my life, makes me appreciate that I still have a lot of vibrant years ahead of me.

I have definitely rediscovered my love of make-up and playing with my collection, trying on different looks, finally getting to use my collection without the tropic sun melting it away.  I have had some fun painting this 60-something face!  What is really remarkable about this is it reminds me how different I was when I was young, so ready to try new things.  It’s a given.  When we are young, we try on different “metaphorical hats”, giving ourselves permission to discover who we are.  Personally, I think the willingness to try new things should continue throughout life.  It helps us to grow and learn who we really are and what we want.

So….when I came upon this nearly full-proof eyeliner method on Amazon, I obviously couldn’t say no.  I quickly added iMethod’s Eyeliner Stamp to my Amazon cart.  See: https://amzn.to/3UAgSim    I gotta say, this gem sort of sent me off into a new direction, a new little fun spunky-ness I haven’t seen in a while.  Is it any wonder I bought a beautiful moto leather jacket just a day later, that made me smile wider than I have in a while!  I gotta be honest, for the price and ease of use, the iMethod Eyeliner Stamp is perfection for Cat Eye Noobies like me and might even be somewhat of an inspiration, like a new song that becomes an anthem of sorts, of whatever shape your life is taking these days!

The Details:

In the kit, you get 2 pens, a right and a left.  I applied the outer stamp first (I had to do this twice, just to get the wings at the perfect matching angle, pointing to my brow edge).  I’m sure in time, I will easily get this down on the first attempt.  Then I filled in the rest of my lid with the sleek brush.  It was sooooo much easier than my many failed attempts in the past.  What’s cool too is the product is waterproof and smudge proof and comes in 8mm and 10mm sizes, in both black and brown. The accuracy of this pen system also decreases the necessary tugging on fragile aging eyelids when applying eye make-up.  I cringe thinking about those effects of that on my eyes.  Now, I don’t know how long the pens will last, since I’m new to them.  But, here’s to hoping for at least a few good months of use before drying out!  At the current price of $11.67 (5% more off if you subscribe to the product), I think it’s really a bargain.

Is This Recommendation Worthy Make-up?  – Most DEFINITELY!

So, if you are challenged in the Cat Eyeliner department, due to age, eye sight, or just lack of practice, this is a very good one to buy.  Give it a try.  You can thank me later.

Oh, and if you use my link above, it really helps to offset the cost of my blog.  It’d REALLY appreciate it.  And…I’d love it too, if you DO appreciate my content, to give it a like and please consider subscribing.  Let’s create a community of oldies, who still got a lotta life to live.  I do so love writing about all the products I’m using, trying out and if they work for me at this age….not to mention all the other many joys and challenges of the 60+ years.  Let’s create a community of strong, happy women (and men) who know who they are and how to find what makes them happy.

Cheers to you!

Much love,
