Qure’s Micro-Infusion Rejuvenating System

โ€”

Recently, I stumbled upon this new at-home Qure system, which claims to treat “fine lines and wrinkles, rough texture, dark spots and dryness”.ย  And since 2024 is my year to try to do more in-home treatments to save money and see if regular skin care and science-backed products can really help as much as med-spa quicky treatments, or come close to what’s achieved there, I ordered the Qure system.

A quick look at my 61 year old face above (this photo is post my first at home Qure Micro-Infusion Treatment, shows obvious signs of aging.ย  Thinned skin under my eyes, showing deep dark circles.ย  Age spots on my cheeks due to years of sun worship.ย  Check.ย  Wrinkles on my chest thanks to too many tequila shooters in Cancun when I was 25 years old (woke up looking like a lobster and regretted it ever since).ย  Check.ย  Wiggle waggle looser skin on my neck.ย  Check.ย  And little dimply pox marks on my chin, which my derm told me are not r/t to acne scars (never had them too bad), but secondary to loss of volume in the face that cause little areas of dimpling with age.

These are the areas of my face that irritate me the most.ย  They are super hard to hide with makeup.ย  Too little and they show through.ย  Too much and they cake and are emphasized all the more.ย  For anyone reading this over 50, you know exactly what I mean!ย  If you are younger than 50, please understand, once your face starts demonstrating these signs of aging, they are really hard to fix without dramatic costly medical intervention.ย  So, if you are like me and took your good skin for granted and decided the look of a tan was more important than anti-aging, this post is for you.

So…..why try the system?ย  ย https://www.qureskincare.com/pages/microinfusion.ย  The company advertises the product as follows: “5 reasons why everyone is using Qure Micro-Infusion System.ย  The dull to dewy at-home facial your skincare routine is missing that saves you hundreds of dollars.ย  Up until recently, Micro-Infusion was only performed by cosmetic dermatologists as an expensive in-clinic facial. Often used by Celebrities before a big even to get โ€˜red carpet readyโ€™ skin.ย  Now, you can easily perform it from the convenience of your home, in less than 5 minutes for roughly 15x less than the average clinicโ€™s price.”

My Review

Ease of use:ย  So, what I liked about the product, as a nurse, is that it has sterile packs of 24 k gold 0.5mm needles that stamp your skin and are discarded with each treatment.ย  These needles are housed in a cap that screws onto your administration vial.ย  There are 6 sterile product vials, you open one at a time, drip into your administration vial and, then, apply your sterile needle cap.ย  Very easy to use.ย  Just be careful to not contaminate any part of the system because you are injecting them below the epidermal layer.ย  So clean hands and clean face are essential prior to use!

What’s in the liquid you are injecting:ย  1).ย  Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF):ย  Works at a cellular level to repair and rejuvenate skin. Reduces appearance of wrinkles, improves hydration, and prevents pigmentation.ย  2).ย  Other ingredients:ย  Niacinamide: Derm-approved superstar ingredient that helps with most skin concerns from soothing to brightening and clarifying, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.ย  Glycerin: Replenishes moisture skin loses into the deeper layers of the dermis and makes skin appear dewy.ย  3).ย  All ingredients:
Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Zemea Propanediol 1,3, Vegetable Glycerin, Niacinamide, Panthenol, MacDermaTM TA (Tranexamic Acid), Chrysanthellum indicum extract, Tripeptide-1 / Oligopeptide-1, Evermild EHG (Ethylhexylglycerin), Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, sh-Oligopeptide-1.

Did it hurt:ย  Yes, but not excruciatingly.ย  One thing that I noticed is, despite following the direction to invert the vial for one minute so the liquid enters the intima of the needles for injection, there is a bit of a delay.ย  I was a bit too gentle to begin with.ย  I was puncturing my skin, but very little was coming out.ย  Don’t do this.ย  Give the vial a good solid press down.ย  If the liquid isn’t coming out after a few presses, go harder.ย  Otherwise, the 5 minute treatment goes on for 15 minutes of ouch, ouch, ouch, to infuse ALL the liquid, which is expensive and you don’t want to waste a drop.ย  So, go harder and get it over quicker.ย  This method gets it deeper into the skin, which is the whole point of the treatment to stimulate collagen and get these ingredients inside.

How long did the redness last:ย ย Honestly, I was shocked at how irritated and red my skin was afterwards.ย  I thought it would be like that for days.ย  The next morning, my skin looked totally normal.ย  No redness whatsoever.ย  I didn’t experience any peeling, or irritation either.ย  (Be sure to not use any acid based products afterwards for a few days, though I did return to my Retin-A use about a day later, with little reaction.). Interestingly, post-treatment day two, I did break out, which reminded me that though I hate my signs of aging, acne was a real pain in the butt.ย  I’m glad I no longer have to deal with it on a routine basis.

So….am I seeing any improvement in my skin: ย Surprisingly, yes.ย  It’s not dramatic, but certainly equal to what I’ve seen with med spa treatments.ย  To be honest, I’ve done IPL for my dark spots and found little improvement in decreased size.ย  This treatment seemed to lighten and shrink just a bit the size of my dark spots.ย  I’m looking forward to seeing if I can get them to go away all the way.ย  My dark circles are slightly lighter (could collagen already be being produced?).ย  ย Other than this, when I washed my face this morning with my Agency Cream Cleanser, I was happily surprised to feel a smoother complexion than I did, in fact, look more dewy.ย  It seems the action of penetrating the epidermal layer really does give your body the stimuli it needs to get going with collagen production.ย  The substances infused jump start the renewal process markedly.

Conclusion:ย ย I’m very happy with this investment in my skin.ย  I’m looking forward to seeing where it’s at in three months.ย  I know the money I spend on me is an important self-affirming act and a good reminder to religiously apply my sun screen!

Stay tuned for future updates on how it’s going for me using the Qure system!ย  Hopefully this review peaked your interest and gave you a new product for those out there wanting to do home spa treatments to save money in 2024.
